      Salad is something everyone wants to have. I know it’s part of the diet. Today there is a recipe for a salad with cherries. Have you ever seen anyone adding fruits to the salad? But adding fruits gives you a deliciously crunchy flavor to your diet.

      This salad recipe may seem a bit boring and insignificant, but this recipe is a sort of the foundation of salads. It will help you learn how to wash, look after and prepare and dress your salads so you can enjoy them.
      You’ll need a selection of freshly picked lettuces  or broccoli (about four large handfuls). You’ll also need a jam jar dressing of your choice.

      This salad is inspired by a dish as Cherries and Goat Cheese on the menu at Westside Tavern in Los Angeles. If you are not inclined to add fruits like blueberries and cranberries to salads, this combination could change your mind. Even sweet cherries have a tart edge to them. The combination of their sweet/tart flavor and juicy but firm texture with the pungent smell of arugula, creamy goat cheese, and crunchy nuts works very well.

      To wash your salad leaves. When you get your lettuces home, remove the roots and any not-so-nice outside leaves first. Then click or tear off the rest of the leaves and give them a good old wash in cold water. Once they’re clean, give a spin in a salad spinner or shake them dry in a tea towel.

      Fruits should be selective and delicious.

      Combine arugula, spinach, and onion in a large bowl. Combine juice, mustard, honey, salt, black pepper, and garlic in a medium bowl, stirring with a whisk. Gradually drizzle in olive oil, stirring constantly with a whisk. Drizzle dressing over salad, and toss gently to coat. Arrange 1 1/2 cups salad on each of 4 salad plates. Top each serving with 1/4 cup cherries, 1 tablespoon cheese, and 1 tablespoon nuts.
